Truth and Reconciliation Week and Orange Shirt Day

This week we will join individuals, communities and school divisions in recognizing Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Through out the week and on September 29th students and staff at Hillside will be taking time to discuss the effects of residential schools and their legacy by honoring the experience of Indigenous Peoples, celebrating resilience and affirming a commitment that every child matters.

We encourage everyone to wear orange with us this Thursday to help bring awareness and to remember those impacted by residential schooling.

There is no school for NGPS students on Friday, September 30.
