Dear Students & Families

As a school community, we want to express our concern for all those who have been impacted by the recent wildfires in our area. We are sending much strength and love to everyone from the Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation Community. We know that all of your families have had to evacuate your homes and we are heartbroken for you all. We also understand that some of the rural areas surrounding Valleyview have also been evacuated.Please know we are thinking of you during this difficult time. 

In light of all that has been going on, it is necessary that we consider the postponement of events that were scheduled to occur at Hillside in the coming days. It is our intention to ensure that as many of our students, as possible, are able to participate and rescheduling gives us the opportunity to do so.  When we are able to finalize plans we will post updates to our website and social media platforms.

We know that the uncertainty and stress of evacuation can be overwhelming, and want to assure you that Hillside Jr/Sr school is here to support you in any way possible.
